Recently my wife and I decided to start collecting Cathrineholm enamelware. They were designed Grete Prytz Kittelson in Norway in the late 1950s. They have become extremely collectible and sell for a premium on Etsy and Ebay. We are dedicated to finding them the old fashioned way and in the last two weeks we have found two of them. I bought the white and blue piece from another picker for $20. My wife picked up the white and green one for $5 at a garage sale. These pieces commonly sell for $80-$120 but we are going to keep them.
Love them! Have yet to find any myself "in the wild" and would have a tough time parting with it if I did...
ReplyDeleteThanks! I feel so lucky to have found 2 in two weeks. I have also looked for them at most of the vintage shops in Portland and have not seen any for sale. Good luck with your search
